About the Position
The Sterile Processing Technician at Vail Health is responsible for cleaning, inspecting, and sterilizing used equipment within the hospital according to the high standards of the Sterile Processing Department. All instruments should be carefully maintained to ensure they function properly and are stored in complete sets in the proper location to be available when needed. As tools and instruments are cleaned and inspected, all sterilization processes used should be properly documented by the technician in provided log books.

The Sterile Processing Department ensures that all medical and surgical supplies and equipment are sterile for the next use. This involves the careful cleaning, preparation, processing, storage, and issue of supplies and equipment to ensure the highest standard of patient care.
